Suggested Duration: 15-30 seconds
Downward Dog is a total-body stretcher. It’s why you see dogs in this position so often—because it’s such a great stretch! Mainly, you’ll feel a deep stretch in your legs and back.
To perform the Downward Dog, start in a push-up position, and lift your hips into the air, pushing them back and keeping your legs straight. You should feel a nice stretch in your legs and back.
You can add a calf stretch by pushing one heel down at a time, alternating at a comfortable pace.
